Our Vision
The vision of Global Training Network is to equip and encourage thousands of indigenous church planters, pastors and Christian leaders in the years to come. These pastors will, in turn, equip and encourage their congregations toward spiritual health, vibrancy and multiplication. We envision mobilizing and motivating thousands of Christians globally to become “world Christians”, who see the world as God sees it and who want to become involved in helping to advance God’s Kingdom among the nations.

Some helpful facts that continue to fuel our vision:
DID YOU KNOW THAT…
* In the United States there is one trained Christian Pastor for every 250 people.
* In the rest of the world, there is one trained Christian Pastor for every 450,000 people.
Here at Global Training Network, we believe that God is calling us to help close that gap. We want to be involved in helping to raise up, train, equip and encourage young pastors, church planters and Christian leaders around the world so that they can more effectively reach and disciple their people for Christ!
DID YOU KNOW THAT…
Christian leaders around the world are predicting (based upon current trends) that in the next decade one billion people will come to Christ around the world. But, as Bill Bright said three years ago (before he passed away), there is a crisis looming. And that crisis is that there are not enough trained pastors and church planters in most parts of the world to deal with this great harvest. In order to provide healthy churches for all of these new believers, there is an overwhelming need to raise up and train five million new pastors around the world in the next decade! (Ministries Today Magazine – May/June 2004 issue)
DID YOU KNOW THAT…
Every 10 seconds, 26 people die on planet earth! Out of the 26 who die…
* 2 are Buddhist
* 4 are Hindu
* 5 are Muslim
* 9 are “Christian”
* 6 are atheistic, agnostic or animistic Out of the 9 who claim to be “Christian”…
* 5 are Roman Catholic
* 4 are Protestant
Out of the 26 people who die every 10 seconds, somewhere between 17-22 people (65% – 80%) hurtle into a Christless eternity!
DID YOU KNOW THAT…
There are 6.1 billion people in the world today. Of those 6 billion people…
* 1/3 of the earth’s people call themselves “Christians.”
* 1/3 of the non-Christians live in areas where the gospel is readily present (we refer to these as “reached people groups”).
* 1/3 of the non-Christians live in areas where the gospel is not available and there are no Christian churches virtually anywhere around (we call these “unreached people groups”)
DID YOU KNOW THAT…
Over 1.1 billion people on planet earth live on less than one U.S. dollar per day!
If you are an average American, you live better than 99.4% of the rest of the world! God has blessed us greatly! Why? To be a blessing to all nations on earth!
How? By being involved in helping to see that the gospel of Jesus Christ is shared with “all the peoples on earth!”
The latest statistics from the World Christian Database located at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary tell us… In Arizona, there are 4.3 million people. 65.6% claim to belong to a local church. If someone wanted to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in Arizona, it would be very easy (comparatively) to do so. There are Christian churches on almost every corner, Christian radio and TV stations playing 24 hours a day and Christian bookstores in every major city.
Dr. Charles Stanley, in his book Confronting Casual Christianity, writes: “The severest sin of Christians is a numbing lack of concern, an anesthetized attitude of, ‘I don’t care. I’m in the fold. Why should I concern myself?’ Is it a wonder people are rushing headlong to perdition? While you read these lines, thousands are perishing, ‘dead in trespasses and sins.’”
William Borden of Yale died in Egypt on his way to the Orient as an ambassador for Christ. Borden said, “If you see ten men trying to lift a log, nine of them on the light end and one on the heavy end, where will you step in to help?” Common sense pleads for our involvement in helping to reach the “unreached peoples” of the world!
The Beatitudes (World Missions Version):
Blessed are those who live each day with eternity in view,
For in looking back on life there will be no regrets.
Blessed are those who embrace a vision greater than themselves,
For what they give their lives to will endure forever.
Blessed are those who are passionate about the worship to come,
For assembled will be people from every tribe, nation, people, and language.
Blessed are those who invest and labor to reach the peoples in the 10/40 Window,
For there most of the unfinished task remains, but resources and laborers are few.
