Sindhu Pani was born the first of nine children and raised in the remote village of Serango (Gajapati district) in Orissa, India. While in 7th grade, a group of young people from Operation Mobilization had visited Sindhus village. Their singing, preaching and other activities influenced Sindhu very much, and he decided that he wanted to join the team one day. During his teen years, Sindhu accepted Christ and was baptized. Soon after that, a great passion and desire grew up in Sindhus heart to serve the Lord full time. Sindhu completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in 1989 and immediately joined with Operation Mobilization.

Due to a family situation, Sindhu could not stay long with OM. He then joined with World Visions Project in Angul, Orissa and worked as a Community Development worker from 1990-1991. To equip himself for better service, Sindhu went to Serampore Theological College from 1992 to 1995 and completed his Bachelor of Divinity degree program and joined Gospel For Asia. For the next five years, Sindhu served with Gospel for Asia in various capacities. During this time, his marriage was arranged and he got married to Minnie (Minati). Minnie also helped Sindhu in the teaching ministry for one year and six months while in GFA. Both decided to go for higher education and joined Serampore Theological College in 2000. Minnie joined for the Bachelor of Divinity degree and Sindhu for a Master of Theology.

In August of 1998 their first child, Sharon, was born. After graduating, Sindhu taught as a lecturer in Calcutta Bible Seminary for a year. From May 2003 to June 2005, Sindhu was a professor in New Theological College in Dehradun. On June 20th, 2005 both Sindhu and Minnie joined GTN full time as Associate Director for India ministries. While in Dehradun, their second daughter Sophia was born on February 20, 2004. They would appreciate your prayers greatly.
