Help for Haiti

As I’m sure you are aware by now, the 7.0 earthquake that hit the country of Haiti this past Tuesday afternoon has caused massive devastation and untold human suffering.

I just received an email from Dan Busby, the president of the ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) that included the list of non-profit organizations that are current members of ECFA and that are involved in the Haiti earthquake relief effort. Click the link below to see the list of these Christian non-profit organizations:

ECFA Members Involved in Haiti Relief Efforts

I would encourage you to consider giving something for the relief efforts that are happening right now. The need is truly massive! The latest estimates are that somewhere between 50,000 and 500,000 people have lost their lives in this tragedy.

All gifts are needed . . . whether that be $10, $100, or $1000. Even a simple $10 gift will help buy vitally important medical supplies, food, blankets and water. GTN is not set up to receive and distribute gifts for this disaster, but these other Christian organizations are.

Lisa and I just gave a gift through Food for the Hungry’s website (www.fh.org) and it took less than three minutes to give online.

As Jesus said so clearly in Matthew 25, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father…for I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me…” (Matthew 25:34-36)

Please be praying for the people of Haiti, as well as those who have been sent to help in the relief efforts.

Blessed to be a blessing to all peoples on earth,

Paul
Psalm 67:1-7
